A special Code 2 was released in 1992 for the MICA convention in Chester that year. Matchbox relabeled 5000 Coventry buses with labels for "MICA for Collectors of Matchbox" which were all purchased by MICA members.

The "MICA = Matchbox International Collectors Association" was the most powerful international collectors club based on the number of members, founded in England immediately after the end of UK Matchbox in 1984.
